BORGODIFIUME : A NEW APPROACH TO HOSPITALITY FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND COMMUNITY TOURISM
The Albergo Diffuso is a different hospitality model that does not create an environmental impact and protects the territory. Borgodifiume is the launch of a widespread hotel project in Calabria Italy.
It is a proposal conceived to offer guests the experience of life in a village, making use of all hotel services, hospitality, assistance, catering, spaces and common services for guests, staying in houses and rooms that are not more than 200 meters from the main residence of the widespread hotel where the reception and common areas are located. At 100 meters from the residence is the refreshment area, the Osteria Convivio. The diffused hotel is a horizontal hotel and differs from “non-places” in that it is strongly rooted in the territory and in its culture.
Its management formula is characterized by a marked consistency with the themes of authenticity, experience, relationality and local development. Borgodifiume thanks to the authenticity of the proposal and the integrated tourist offer manages to offer more than a stay, a lifestyle, in which to feel not tourists but “residents” albeit “temporary”.
This form of activity regulated by the Calabria Region with a specific law promotes the aggregation of apartment owners who can make available the apartment in its entirety and individual rooms as long as they have a dedicated bathroom.
The Albergo Diffuso, in its organization, must manage some information and reception services and can partner with bars and / or restaurants, guaranteeing:
An “authentic” environment made of a prestigious home, furnished and renovated not “for tourists”, but thinking of residents, albeit temporary ones;
A distance with the residences that is not such as to prevent the management from offering all guests, not only hotel services, but also the experience of our Osteria itself with an articulation of the food and wine proposal that enhances good and healthy food;;
The presence of a living community.
The Albergo Diffuso “Borgo di Fiume” has been designed for hospitality as in a private home. Our accommodation offers are crowned by courses on the Mediterranean diet, by excursions, walks and guided tours.
